爱的狮子
This is a story about a lion.
这是一个关于一只狮子的故事。
One day he sees a very beautiful girl.
有一天，他看到了一个非常漂亮的女孩。
He falls in love.
他爱上了她。
He goes to see the girl's father.
他去见了女孩的爸爸。
Her father is a woodcutter.
她的爸爸是一位樵夫。
"I want to marry your daughter," he said to the woodcutter.
“我想娶你的女儿，”他对樵夫说。
The woodcutter says, "No, my daughter is afraid of you."
樵夫说：“不行，我的女儿害怕你。”
"I will not eat her. I love her," says the lion.
“我不会吃掉她的，我爱她，”狮子说。
"But you have big teeth," says the woodcutter.
“可是你有大大的牙齿，”樵夫说。
The lion goes away. He is sad, but he has an idea.
狮子走开了，他很伤心，但他想到了一个办法。
The lion comes back the next day. He has no teeth.
第二天，狮子回来了，他没有了牙齿。
He says, "See, I have no teeth. Can I marry your daughter now?"
他说：“你看，我没有牙齿了，现在我可以娶你的女儿了吗？”
"No, you have sharp nails," says the woodcutter.
“不行，你还有锋利的指甲，”樵夫说。
The lion is sad. He goes away again.
狮子很伤心，他又一次走开了。
The lion comes again the next day. Now he has no teeth and no claws.
第三天，狮子又来了，现在他既没有牙齿，也没有爪子了。
"Can I marry your daughter now?" he asks.
“现在我可以娶你的女儿了吗？”他问道。
Now the woodcutter is not afraid of the lion. He chases him away.
现在樵夫不再害怕狮子了，他把狮子赶走了。
Poor lion.
