Date约会，谈恋爱
“Date”既可以作名词也可以作动词。
作名词时，指两人一同进行的浪漫约会活动。
例句：My date with Peter last Friday was wonderful. I really enjoyed his company at the theater.
上周五我和Peter的约会十分愉快，和他一起看电影我特别开心。
作动词时，表示“与……谈恋爱、和……交往”。
例句：I heard that your brother is dating a model. Is it true?
我听说你哥哥在和一位模特交往，是真的吗？
Going out with谈恋爱，交往中
going out with 是口语里表示 “在谈恋爱、交往中” 的另一种说法。
例句：Did you know that Mark is going out with Andrea?
你知道Mark在和Andrea交往吗？
Stand someone up放某人鸽子，失约
stand someone up 指你答应和别人赴约，结果却无故失约，既不打电话告知，也不作任何解释。这种行为被认为十分失礼。
例句：I was planning to have dinner with Barbara, but she stood me up. I waited for her at the restaurant for three hours, but she never came.
我本来打算和Babara一起吃晚饭，结果她放了我鸽子。我在餐厅足足等了她三个小时，她始终没来。

Propose求婚
当你向某人求婚，就是请求对方嫁给/娶自己。在英语里，人们求婚最常用这句话：”Will you marry me?”
例句：John proposed to Sarah on the beach at sunset.

Engaged订婚
当一个人“engaged”，意味着他们已经同意和某人结婚。
例句：Did you hear? John and Sarah are engaged! They’re planning a June wedding.
你听说了吗？John和Sarah已经订婚了！他们打算在六月举行婚礼。
Fiancé / Fiancée 未婚夫/未婚妻
已订婚的男子称作fiancé，女子则称作 fiancée。
例句：My fiancée has already sent out the wedding invitations.
我的未婚妻已经发出了婚礼请柬。
注：fiancé和fiancée这类称呼前面通常要搭配my, his, her等所有格。所以我们不说 “She’s a fiancé”，而是说 “She is engaged”。
Get married 结婚
当两人许下承诺，结为夫妻相守相伴。
例句：We got married in 1972, so we’ve been together for more than 30 years!
我们 1972 年结婚，相伴至今已有三十多年了！
注：举行婚礼当天，女方被称作”bride”（新娘），男方则被称作groom（新郎）。
Honeymoon 度蜜月
指新婚夫妇一同外出旅行、共度休假时光。
例句：They went to Costa Rica for their honeymoon.
他们去了哥斯达黎加度蜜月。
Anniversary 周年纪念日
夫妻二人的结婚日期。许多夫妻每年都会庆祝这个日子，外出共进晚餐、互赠礼物或鲜花。
例句：My parents’ wedding anniversary is May 22nd.
我父母的结婚纪念日是5月22日。
